Chandrayaan-2 goes further than predecessor Chandrayaan-1: ISRO



NEW DELHI: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has said that Chandrayaan-2 has crossed the milestone set by its predecessor Chandrayaan-1.

In a tweet, ISRO said that its moon mission Chandrayaan-2 has gone further than Chandrayaan 1!

Currently, the Chandrayaan-2 is orbiting the Moon. ISRO said that Chandrayaan-2 has successfully performed the third lunar-bound orbit maneuver for the spacecraft.

The Vikram is planned on to land on the Moon on September 7. (Agencies)
