Monsoon to take a few days to be active: Mets



KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said it will take another few days for the monsoon to move back to Nepal.

Monsoon activities in Nepal are presently less active since the axis of monsoon trough is based on south from the Terai.

Monsoon will take some more time to become active in the country, according to meteorologist Shanti Kandel.

He, however, said isolated rainfall is possible during this period. Generally to mostly cloudy has been predicted tonight over the western region, and generally cloudy in the eastern and central regions with chances of rain at some places.

Kandel said there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at some places of the western hilly region.
