Nepal U19 cricketers off to Malaysia

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s U19 cricket team left for Malaysia to participate in the ACC U19 Eastern Regional Qualifier.

The qualifier begins on Tuesday in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.

The Nepali team includes Rohit Kumar Paudel (captain), Bhim Sarkaki, Pawan Sarraf, Rit Gautam, Kamal Singh Airee, Bishal Bikram KC, Hari Bahadur Chauhan, Rashid Khan, Pratis GC, Lokesh Bahadur Bam, Tilak Raj Bhandari, Kushal Malla, Sagar Dhakal, and Khadak Bahadur Bohora.

Nepal has been placed in the Group A. Myanmar, China, and Singapore are also in Group A. Malaysia, Thailand, Bhutan and Hong Kong are in Group B.

Nepal is playing against Myanmar on July 2. Likewise it will face Singapore on July 5, and China on July 6.
