KABUL: Taliban killed eight election commission staffers in Afghanistan’s southern province of Kandahar, media reports have said.

The staffers of the Independent Election Commission were staying at a government office to register voters when Taliban fighters launched an attack.

The group has claimed responsibility for the incident. (Agencies)
