Taiwan vows to defend against Chinese aggression

PINGTUNG, Taiwan: Taiwan’s forces conducted an air, sea and land drill to what it said ‘repel an invading force’ today, media reports have said.

Taiwan’s defense minister Yen Teh-fa have pledged to defend the island against China’s rising military threat.

Around 3,000 soldiers participated in the live-fire drill in Taiwan’s Pingtung while fighter jets launched strikes and warships opened fires to destroy an enemy beachhead, reports said.

Defense Minister Yen said that the Chinese Communist Party’s military force has continued to expand, without giving up the use of force aimed at invading Taiwan. (Agencies)
