Turkish Airlines World Gold Cup to kick off in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: Turkish Airlines World Gold Cup (TAWGC), the world’s largest corporate golf tournament, will be played at Gokarna Forest Resort, Kathmandu on 11 May 2019.

A total of 100 players will be participating in the one-day tournament. According to the organizer, 15 players of Gokarna Golf Club, five players from Nepal Army, three from Dharan Golf Club and two players from Pokhara will be participating in the tournament.

Abdullah Tuncer Kecici, General Manager of Turkish Airlines Kathmandu said, “We are thrilled to be back in Kathmandu with the TAWGC and a new group of golfers at our event has become a highlight on the region’s calendar over the past two years.”

He said, “Turkish Airlines supports some of the world’s most successful sports people and organizations bridging culture and continents.”
