Industrialists, investors say Nepal suitable for investment

KATHMANDU: The industrialists and investors participating in the ongoing Investment Summit 201 have pointed out essential elements to attract investment in Nepal. According to them, availability of labor and skilled human resources, stable government with political stability and investment friendly environment are important to attract foreign investment.

They were univocal to say that Nepal is right place for investment during a panel on ‘Investment in Nepal: Exchanges of Experience’ at the summit.

Chairwoman Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI), Bhawani Rana, opined that Nepal has entered the phase of economic development following the completion of the political transition.

Also speaking at the panel discussion, Founding Chairman of Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Upendra Mahato calling up foreign investment in Nepal stressing that Nepal is a safe and reliable zone for foreign investment.

Asian Development Bank (ADB) Vice Chair Shixin Chen was of the view that Nepal, the middle-income nation, had to invest enormously in the physical infrastructure for its transformation.
