Taxi driver Kamal Bahadur Shrestha pulled out 60-year-old diabetic patient Gopal Karanjit of his taxi and left him  on the roadside near Helping Hands Hospital after noticing him unconscious, Naya Patrika reported.

Police arrested Shrestha based on a CCTV footage installed on the road, said DSP Sunil Malla of Metropolitan Police Circle, Gaushala.

Karanjit, a resident of Gokaneshwor, was returning home in the taxi after receiving treatment at Chabahil-based Medicare Hospital when the taxi driver treated him inhumanely. Locals took Karanjit to the hospital but he died later.
