Rautes get warm clothes, nutritious foods



SURKHET: Rautes living in the forest of Gurash rural municipality in Dailekh have been provided with clothes and nutritious food after the chief of the Raute community called for humanitarian assistance.

The children of this nomadic tribe started to fall sick due to biting cold.

Raute Mukhiya (Chief) Surya Narayan Shahi urged the humanitarian organizations to provide them with warm clothes and food to the children.

Raute Utthan Pratisthan Nepal Chairperson Satyadevi Khadka stated that they distributed warms clothes, including blankets, and rice, wheat flour, and butter among others in the Raute settlements.

Various social organizations contributed to this cause, according to Khadka, adding that goods amounting to Rs 450,000 were purchased and distributed to the Rautes.

According to Shahi, children were hit hard with a sharp decline in the temperature.
