Three arrested with arms



KATHMANDU: Police have nabbed three persons from different places of the country with arms and explosives.

Police on Saturday afternoon arrested Chandra Bahadur Basnet, 31, of Taplejung with arms and raw materials for preparing explosives.

A team deployed from District Police Office, Taplejung arrested him with seven electric detonators, 17 non-electric detonators, a safety fuse wire measuring 3.8 feet, three time-setting devices, three remote controllers, two batteries set and a homemade pistol among others.

Likewise, two persons have arrested with a revolver and five live bullets.

The arrested are Uma Bhujel, 41, of Gorkha and Suman Singh, 30, of Jhapa.

A police team deployed from District Police Office, Sunsari arrested them after intercepting a scooter, Ko 35 Pa 6335, they were riding.

Police said they are further investigating the case.
