KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Ishwor Pokharel on Friday inspected the under-construction national pride project Kathmandu-Tarai Madhes Fast Track.
The Nepal Army (NA) Directorate of Public Relations said that DPM Pokharel made an inspection at Makkhubesi, Budune, Rajdamar, Baagdev areas and the Nijgadh-based Zero Point and took information on the progress made from the site In-charge.
During the inspection, DPM Pokharel visited the Rajdamar-based nursery and quality testing lab. He was apprised of the major challenges of the project.
The national army is constructing the much-talked-about project which estimated construction cost stands around Rs 175 billion 193 million 579 thousand including the value-added tax (VAT).
The fast track will be constructed as per the Asian Highway category ‘A’ design standards.
