Nepal sets 217-run target for Maldives



KATHMANDU: Nepal has set a target of 217 runs for Maldives at a practice match underway at Mulpani Cricket Ground on Friday.

Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal notched up 216 runs in the allotted 20 overs, losing three wickets.

Opener Sharad Vesawkar made highest 84 runs studded with 4 fours and eight sixes off 42 balls.

Similarly, Pradeep Airee scored 69 runs including 4 fours and six sixes off 36 balls before being caught out.

Amit Shrestha remained unbeaten with 25 runs.

Maldivian cricketer Leem Shafeeq took three wickets of Nepal.
