Healthy eating tips



These tips cover the basics of healthy eating.

The key to a healthy diet is to consume the right amount of calories.

It has been recommended that men need to have around 2,500 calories a day. Likewise, women need to have around 2,000 calories a day.

Base your meals on higher fiber starchy carbohydrates

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables

Eat fish, including a portion of oily fish

Cut down on sugar and saturated fat

Eat less salt. It should not be more than 6g a day

Remain active

Do not get thirsty

Do not skip breakfast
