Three children killed due to drowning

SIRAHA: Three children have died when they drowned in ponds in separate incidents in Siraha district.

The victims are Nandani Yadav, 7, and 10-year-old Deepak Yadav, daughter and son of Bimal Yadav of Arnama rural municipality-4.

Likewise, another victim has been identified as 11-year-old Kajal Das of Siraha municipality-3, police said.

Nandani and Deepak had gone out of their house to play but did not return home even late in the evening. Both of them were found dead floating in a pond just near the settlement.

Likewise, Das got drowned in a ditch filled with water when she was taking bath. Even though she was rescued immediately, she died at Chandra Narayan Maternity Hospital, Madar, according to district police.
