Naveen Patnaik took oath as Chief Minister of Odisha for fifth time



BHUBANESWAR: Naveen Patnaik, 72, took oath as Chief-Minister of Odisha, Eastern Indian state for a record fifth time. He is now one of the longest-serving chief ministers of the coastal state Odisha. He has been in power in the state since 2000.

Mr Patnaik and his team of ministers were administered the oath of the office at a function in Bhubaneswar. Naveen Patnaik’s party the Biju Janata Dal secured 112 seat in the 147-member Odisha Assembly in the recently concluded election, held along with Lok Sabha polls. (Agencies)
