GAUSHALA: A cyclist died when a bus hit his bicycle on the Jaleshwar-Janakpur road section of Mahottari district, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Raj Mukhiya of Pipara rural municipality-7, Mahottari.
Mukhiya died on the spot when the bus bearing registration number plate Na 5 Kha 6135 heading towards Jaleshwar from Janakpur hit the bicycle coming from the opposite direction on Sunday evening.
Police impounded the bus and the driver after the accident.
Likewise, Dipesh Poudel, 32, of Taplejung died when a jeep hit his bicycle at the Kalijhoda section of the East-West highway at Mechinagar in Jhapa district on Monday morning.
The jeep –Me 1 Ja 2059 — was heading towards the west when it hit Poudel’s bicycle. Critically injured Poudel died while undergoing treatment at the B&C Hospital in Birtamod, police said.
