Over 50,000 chickens culled following bird flu outbreak

HETAUDA: Over 50,000 chicken infected with bird flu has been culled in Makwanpur district. District Administration Office informed that some 9,015 eggs and 1,463 kilograms of poultry feed were also destroyed.

Following reports of bird flu outbreak in the district, a joint team from District Administration Office, police and vets carried out inspection and culled chickens, eggs and poultry feed.

The team identified 28 farming affected by the virus of the total 48 inspected.
