Minister Bhattarai inspects Pokhara Int’l Airport

POKHARA: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Bhattarai, has inspected the under-construction international regional airport in Pokhara and garnered progress report today.

He garnered information about the need of 104 ropanis of land to be acquired to manage the glide path so that landing would be safer.

The government is in need of acquiring additional land to ensure safety during landing even at a time of low visibility. Minister Bhattarai informed that the lands would be acquired in a justifiable manner.

He directed the contractors and works to accomplish the airport on time.

On the occasion, airport project chief Binesh Kumar Munakarmi informed that 54 percent of the airport construction was over and it would complete six months before the stipulated date.
