Paras Khadka hits ton as Nepal beats Singapore by 9 wickets



KATHMANDU: A brilliant knock by captain Paras Khadka helped Nepal defeat Singapore by nine wickets in the Singapore Twenty20 Tri-Series being played in Singapore on Saturday evening.

Chasing down the 152-run target, Nepal went past the target losing one wicket in 16 overs.

Skipper Khadka top-scored not out 106 runs off 52 balls, hitting nine sixes and seven fours, to become the highest run-scorer for Nepal in T20. Arif Sheikh contributed 39 runs.

Janak Prakash of Singapore took one wicket.

Earlier today, Tim David hit not out 64 runs to post 151 runs on the board for Singapore losing three wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

For Nepal, Karan KC grabbed two wickets as Sushan Bhari sent one Singaporean batsman back to the pavilion.

In the first match, Zimbabwe had defeated Nepal by five wickets.
