KAILALI: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leader Bhim Rawal has criticized the recently held cabinet meeting through video conferencing saying that it is ‘illegal and wrong’ from the point of security.
Speaking at a press conference held on Wednesday at Dhangadhi, the district headquarters of Kailali, Rawal said it was not necessary for Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to call the cabinet meeting through video conferencing at a time when Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Ishwar Pokharel has been assigned as the acting prime minister.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had attended a cabinet meeting from Singapore through video conferencing recently. Oli is in Singapore for treatment.
On a different note, standing committee member Rawal accused Dr Baburam Bhattarai of inciting racial conflict by
encouraging Tikapur locals to wage war for the formation of states based on ethnicity.
