RATNANAGAR: Employees of Bharatpur metropolis and people’s representatives have contributed Rs 5.15 million to Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium Construction Project in Bharatpur.

Mayor Renu Dahal handed over the check amount to Dhurmus- Suntali Foundation amid a function on Sunday.

The amount has been collected from the employees and people’s representatives of all 29 wards under the Bharatpur Metropolis.

Mayor Dahal said that the locals have been excited over the project of national pride. She also emphasized the need of creating a favorable environment to this regard.

The local government has already allocated Rs 54.5 million to the project in the current fiscal. Meanwhile, the State 3 government has also provided Rs 50 million for the same.

The Bharatpur metropolis and the Foundation had on January 30 signed an agreement for the project implementation.
