Armed rebellion not the need of the hour: Minister Baskota

KATHMANDU: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Baskota today said republicanism has already been established, armed rebellion was not the need of the hour.

Addressing a program in Kathmandu today, he claimed that since republicanism has ensured freedom, independence and equal opportunity, there was no need to take up arms in the name of rights.

Minister Baskota said the incumbent government was endeavoring to lead the country on the path of prosperity. He, however, said it would be unjust to criticize the government for failing to bring about overnight changes in the country.
