PORT KLANG: Saudi Arabia hosts three summits in Mecca, Islamic holiest city: Islamic, Arab and Gulf summits this week.

As tensions between Iran and the US are running high, it is not yet confirmed whether Iran will attend the meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), of which it is a member.

The OIC, founded in 1969, is an international organization, consisting of 57 member states. It claims to present the collective voice of the Muslim World and works to protect the interests of the Muslims all over the world in the spirit of promoting international peace and harmony. (Agencies)
