IS says 3 militants died in Sri Lanka raid

COLOMBO: The Islamic State (IS) group said three of the militants died in a shootout with police in Sri Lanka.

In a statement today, IS said three fighters — Abu Hammad, Abu Sufyan and Abu al-Qa’qa – died in police raid in eastern Sri Lanka.

According to the statement, as their ammunition exhausted, they detonated on them their explosive belts. (Agencies)
