Ex-minister Neupane released on bail

KATHMANDU: The Special Court on Wednesday released former Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare Badri Neupane on a bail bond of Rs 500,000.

A bench comprising of Chairman of Special Court Baburam Regmi and Justices Dwarikaman Joshi and Pramod Kumar Baidhya ordered his release.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had filed a graft case against Neupane accusing him of irregularities while leasing land being used by the Bhrikutimandap-based Fun Park.

Neupane has been released after posting the bail bond.
