Speaker Mahara seeks effective role of NIC

KATHMANDU: Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara has sought the role of National Information Commission (NIC) to inhibit the dissemination of information capable of damaging democracy. The Speaker was speaking at the national conference on Rights to Information (RTI).

He was of the view that all should contribute constructively to the dissemination of information and such information should be capable of promoting the real national unity, according to the Speaker.
