Four arrested with drugs in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested four people for their alleged involvement in criminal activities in Kathmandu. Spokesperson Hobindra Bogati at Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu said they were arrested by police personnel fanned out to control activities of Biplav outfit.

Police said they arrested Santosh Tamang and Avaya, whose surname is yet to be ascertained, from Manamaiju in the Capital City on Tuesday night. Police recovered a khukuri, an iron rod and 139 ampoules of Diazepam, Phenergan and Norphine from their possession.

Likewise, police nabbed Ramesh Basnet and Shersingh Rokaya of Kolapur, Banke with 16 grams brown heroine and a weighing machine from New Buspark.
