Election observation report for systematizing polls: CEC Thapaliya

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) today said it would monitor the election observers from the next elections.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya said that the EC plans to bring all people and organizations deputed as observers in the future elections under its scrutiny.

Speaking at a program in Kathmandu today, he said that permission to observe the election is not a right, but it a duty and responsibility.

According to him, the report prepared by observers, their learning, conclusion, understanding, and experience is not for sale.

“It should be targeted as making the election systematic,” he added.
