ECN fixes polling stations for National Assembly polls

KATHMANDU: Polling stations for the elections of the National Assembly members have been fixed. The election has been scheduled for January 23.

The Election Commission Nepal (ECN) has chosen Birendra Sabhagriha of Biratnagar Metropolitan City as the polling station for the elections to be held under Province 1.

A total of 367 voters including 93 provincial members and 284 chiefs and deputy chiefs of rural municipalities and mayors and deputy mayors of the local bodies will cast votes at the center.

Similarly, Mahendranarayan Memorial building of Janakpur Sub-metropolitan City has been chosen for the elections to be held under Province 2, ward committee building of Lalitpur Metropolitan City under Province 3 and election office of Kaski district in Gandaki Province have been chosen as the polling stations.

Likewise, Karmachari Milan Kendra of Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City in Province 5,  election office of Surkhet district in Karnali Province and  Madma Public Muktinarayan Higher Secondary School in Silgadhi Municipality in Doti in Far-west Province have been chosen as the polling stations.
