ICC Women’s T20 WC: Kuwait invites Nepal to bat first

KATHMANDU: Nepal has started batting against Kuwait in its final match under the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Region Qualifier at Asian Institute of Technology Ground, Bangkok on Wednesday.

Kuwait won the toss and elected to field. The match started at 8:45 according to Nepali time.

Earlier, Nepal had defeated Malaysia by 34 runs in its first match. Nepal faced a 57-run defeat at the hand of host Thailand in the second match.

Similarly, in the third match Nepal beat UAE by seven wickets and Hong Kong by four wickets in the fourth match. Likewise, Nepal thrashed China by five wickets in the fifth match.

A total of seven countries – Thailand, Nepal, China, Hong Kong, UAE, Malaysia, and Kuwait – are taking part in the Qualifier. Each team will play six matches.

The team, which is atop the score board in the qualifier, will be selected for the Global Qualifier.
