Govt to pursue prosperity, says Prachanda

BHAKTAPUR: Chairperson of Nepal Communist Party and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the government would continuously pursue development and prosperity braving the elements trying to defame it.

“Now some elements have been active in insulting the NCP and the government by bringing disputes,” he said at an event organized here by Newa Mukti Morcha Nepal to exchange best wishes on the occasion of festivals today.

Stating that the government was working to establish social justice in the country, he reiterated that it was making headway to political stability, development and prosperity.

He also pointed out that Nepal Sambat should not be limited as Day followed by only the Newar community but be marked by others as well.

Referring to Nepal Sambat declared as the ‘National New Year’ during his tenure as the Prime Minister, he rued a lack of its effective implementation.
