NEW DELHI: The air quality of Indian capital New Delhi continues to remain in the poor category over the Deepawali weekend with pollutants PM 2.5 and PM 10 docking at 256 and 249 respectively, according to the Air Quality Index (AQI) data.
Indian media reports said that the air quality around the Delhi University, the levels of PM 2.5 and PM 10 were at 256 and 248, respectively.
Reports said an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’. Likewise, AQI between 51 and 100 is ‘satisfactory’, and 101 and 200 as ‘moderate’.
While the AQI from 201 and 300 is considered ‘poor’, the air quality index from 301 and 400 remains ‘very poor’. AQI from 401 and 500 is considered ‘severe’. (Agencies)
