Nepal climbs one spot in FIFA women’s rankings



KATHMANDU: Nepal has climbed one spot in the FIFA women’s rankings. As per the new rankings made public by the international football governing body, Nepal has been placed at 100th position.

Nepal was the runner-up of Nadezhda Cup held in Kyrgyzstan held some two weeks ago.

In south Asia, Nepal has been placed second. India has been ranked at the 58th position. Likewise, Bangladesh has been ranked 132nd, Sri Lanka 138th, the Maldives 140th and Bhutan 115th in the rankings.

The USA tops the rankings as Germany, Netherlands, France and Sweden have been placed second, third, fourth and fifth.
