Interpol training kicks off in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: A 10-day raining on analysis of crime-related information has kicked off at National Police Academy in the capital. The training is organized by the Interpol General Secretariat in collaboration with Interpol Nepal.

Representatives of various organizations working in investigation on environmental protection, wildlife conservation and criminal activities, among several issues, are participating in the training.

The training is focused on how to analyze the information on criminal activities related to wildlife, environment, climate and other sectors and on how to reach to conclusion, Interpol Nepal said.

Seventeen police officers including 13 foreigners, instructors included, are participating in the training. The participants include four Nepalis, two Cambodians, two Vietnamese, three Indians, two Malaysian, two Thai, one British and one French national, the Nepal Police Headquarters has stated.

One hundred and ninety four countries are the members of the Interpol General Secretariat based in Leon, France.
