Biratnagar Titans enters PPL final



KATHMANDU: Biratnagar Titans has entered the final of the Pokhara Premier League (PPL) defeating Butwal Blasters by 21 runs on Thursday.

While chasing the 166-run target, Butwal managed to get only 144 runs on the board losing all wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Biratnagar Titans will take on Chitwan Rhinos in the final on Saturday.

For Butwal, Bhim Sharki made 44 runs off 34 balls. Aftabuddin Ahmed and Puran BK contributed 43 and 15 runs respectively.

Shahab Alam and Puneet Mehra took three wickets each.

Earlier, put to bat first after losing the toss, Biratnagar scored 165 runs on the board losing five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Sunil Dhamala top-scored for Biratnagar at 61 runs off 54 balls hitting six fours and two sixes as Pradeep Singh Airee made not out 33 runs.

Harsh Tonk of Butwal took two wickets.
