NA discusses Revenue Leakage First Amendment Bill

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the National Assembly today discussed the Revenue Leakage (Investigation and Control) First Amendment Bill-2075BS passed by the House of Representatives.

The bill has a provision to slap high and low fine to those depending on the extent of revenue leakage by them, said Finance Minister Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada responding to queries raised in the meeting.

The bill also provisions to end irregularities committed in the name of informers on revenue leakage, he said.

The proposal to seek a consideration on the bill received from the HoR alongside a message was also passed unanimously from the meeting.

The proposal was tabled by Finance Minister Khatiwada. Those wanting an amendment to the bill can submit a proposal to the Parliament Secretariat within the deadline.

The NA next meets on December 30 at 1 pm.
