KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has directed the ministries to ensure that development projects are effective and result-oriented.
Addressing the ministerial first quarterly meeting of the current fiscal year at Singha Durbar on Monday, Prime Minister Oli directed the ministers and secretaries to move ahead with a clear roadmap of expediting the development projects in order to complete within the set deadline.
He pointed out that the policy, budget and program do not match with each other and alerted them against repeating the tendency of not mobilizing budget on the projects, which have been included in the annual policy and program
Saying people should be able to feel the change in politics through good governance and development, the Prime Minister said that reforms should be made in every sector of the country.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Oli drew special attention of the concerned ministries regarding the situation of their development projects and matters to be improved. He also asked the ministries to increase capital expenditure, saying only 14 per cent expenditure in current fiscal year was not enough.
