KATHMANDU: The government has decided to take action against the medical colleges who fail to return additional fees charged from students by Tuesday.
According to Home Ministry sources, a meeting held at the Ministry on Monday took the decision that the medical colleges must return the additional fees by tomorrow.
The meeting was attended by Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, Education Minister Giriraj Mani Pokharel, Attorney General Agni Kharel, and Nepal Police chief Sarbendra Khanal. The deadline to return the additional fees is expiring tomorrow.
The medical colleges run under the private ownership currently remain shut due to protest by students against the college administration for charging them high fees.
