Two arrested with leopard skin from Rukum West



MUSIKOT: Two people were arrested with a leopard hide in Rukum West. Those arrested with the skin of protected animals are Chhaya BK aka Arjun, 21, from Puthauttarganga rural municipality-14, Rukum East and Ganesh Nepali, 19, from Ghorahi sub-metropolis-12.

A special squad from the District Police Office apprehended them from Bairidaha of Musikot municipality-7, Police Superintendent of Police Sumit Khadka informed about this in a press meet today.

The team stopped the two on their way for checking as their activities seemed suspicious, and confiscated the leopard skin put inside a white colored plastic bag in their procession. They are presently in police custody for further investigation into the matter and will be handed to the District Forest Office, Rukum, later.
