Simrik chopper makes emergency landing in Banepa



KATHMANDU: A helicopter belonging to Simrik Airlines has made an emergency landing in the paddy field of Banepa in Kavre district on Thursday.

According to the District Police Office, Kavre, the chopper, with a call sign 9N-ANB landed in a paddy field near IT Park due to bad weather.

The chopper with five foreign nationals on board was coming to Kathmandu from Lukla. “I have made an emergency landing due to bad weather. The flight will resume once the weather clears,” said captain Bijaya Khadka.

Earlier on September 17, seven helicopters had made an emergency landing in Kavre district due to bad weather.
