PM Modi to meet Trump, Abe, Macron on G20 sidelines

NEW DELHI: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join separate meetings of the Russia-India-China (RIC) and Japan-America-India (JAI) trilateral forums during the summit in Osaka on June 28-29.

According to people familiar with developments said, Prime Minister Modi will hold bilateral meetings with US President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron and Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for the first time after his re-election on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Japan this week.

The inaugural meeting of JAI was held in Buenos Aires last year.

Further, the Indian premier will hold some 10 bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the G20 Summit, including one with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
