Lightning strike claims six

DANG: Six people died after being struck by lightning strikes in separate places in the country. According to Area Police Office, Bhaluwang, three children died by lightning strikes in Rapti Rural Municipality-3, Maurighat on Tuesday evening.

The deceased are identified as Sajan Chaudhary, 12, Bibek Chaudhary, 13, and Ramit Chaudhary, 10, of Maurighat.

Similarly, other three people were killed by lightning strike in Rupandehi district. The deceased have been identified as Bhagawan Das Lodha, 25, of Gaidahawa Rural Municipality-7, Nanda Ram Aryal, 60, of Kanchan Rural Municipality-2, and Chandra Bahadur BK, 62, of Sainamaina Rural Municipality-7, said police.

The were struck by lightning strikes when they were working in the field yesterday evening.
