Home Minister instructs security agencies to remain on ‘high alert’

KATHMANDU: The Home Ministry has instructed all law enforcement agencies to remain on high alert in the wake of series of explosions in Kathmandu that claimed four lives on Sunday.

An emergency meeting chaired by Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa instructed all law enforcement agencies, District Administration Offices and security organs to remain on high alert and to tighten security across the country.

Police have, meanwhile, confirmed the deaths of four people in two explosions of Sukedhara and Ghattekulo in the capital.

Meanwhile, a pressure cooker bomb went off at Nagdhunga of Chandragiri, injuring two persons, this evening.

Meanwhile, a suspicious object, supposedly a pressure cooker bomb, has been found at Lagankhel of Lalitpur district, according to police.
