MiG trainer aircraft crashes in India’s Madhya Pradesh



NEW DELHI: A MiG trainer aircraft crashed today in Bhind district of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, Indian media reports have said.

This is 12th aircraft of the Indian Air Force to have crashed in 2019, reports said.

Meanwhile, at least 20 military personnel have died in these crashes since January 2019, according to reports.

Wednesday’s crash involving a MiG-21 trainer aircraft occurred during a routine mission this morning. Both the pilots in the aircraft managed to eject safely, police have said. (Agencies)
