Dr KC asks medical colleges to refund students

KATHMANDU: Dr Govinda KC has warned of protest if medical colleges did not refund the extra fees taken from the students.

In a statement today, Dr KC has asked the medical colleges to immediately refund extra fees that the collages had taken from the students.

Even though the government had set a ceiling on the medical students’ fee, the colleges have failed to follow the government’s instructions.

The medical colleges have been flouting the government’s instruction by charging more than Rs 6 million for the studies.

It should be recalled that the government had asked the medical colleges in the Kathmandu Valley and outside the Valley not to charge MBBS students more than Rs 3.8 million and Rs 4.2 million respectively.
