Trump offers Brexit Britain a ‘big’ trade deal

PARIS: U.S. President Donald Trump has promised a trade deal for post-Brexit Britain to Boris Johnson while praising Britain’s new Prime Minister as the right person for Brexit.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the G7 summit in France, US President Trump said Britain’s membership of the European Union (EU) was a drag on efforts to forge closer trade ties.

Trump hinted at the possibility of a very big trade deal – bigger than the US had with the UK. (Agencies)
