Motorable bridge built over Kaligandaki River in Palpa

PALPA: A concrete bridge has been constructed over Kaligandaki River at Gaurighat of Rampur Municipality-6 in the district.

The bridge connects Rampur municipality-6 of State 5 and the Chapakot Municipality-7 of Gandaki state.

The construction company has handed over the bridge to the Road Division Office, Palpa after completing it.

Its foundation stone was laid on February 28, 2016. Sapana Himdung and Thokar Construction Company have constructed the 174-meter-long and eight-meter-wide bridge at a cost of Rs 151.1 million. The construction cost was borne by the government.

Locals of Rampur Municipality, Nishdi Rural Municipality and Purbakhola Rural Municipality of Palpa district and of Chapakot Municipality and surrounding areas of Syangja district have been directly benefited with the construction of the concrete motorable bridge.
