Biplav-called Banda: Bomb goes off in Kailali, arson attack in Achham

KAILALI: Band called by Netra Bikram Chand Biplav has affected the Far-west province. The normal life has been brought to a grinding halt.

Buses have stated off the road in all the nine districts of the province, said Provincial Traffic Police Office, Attariya. Likewise, the schools, colleges have remained closed.

Biplav outfit has called a nationwide band today in protest of the killing of Sarlahi district in-charge Kumar Paudel alleging that police intentionally murdered him while police maintain that Paudel was killed in an exchange of fire.

Bomb goes off in Kailali

A bomb has gone off at Gauriganga Municipality in Kailali district. The bomb was detonated in the office of the municipality at 4 am today, confirmed District Police Office, Kailali.

Arson attack on ward offices 

Meanwhile, two ward offices were set on fire in Achham district. An unidentified gang set fire to  the ward office of Panchadeval Binayak Municipality-3 and Dhakari Rural Municipality-5, according to DSP Janak Bahadur Shahi of District Police Office, Achham.

A computer set, printer, two revolving chairs, table and documents were destroyed in the fire.
