Indian Prez Kovind dissolves Lower House



 

NEW DELHI: President Ram Nath Kovind dissolves the 16th Lok Sabha (Lower House of India) today to elect Prime Minister Narendra Modi for another term.

The NDA (National Defense Alliance) led by BJP (Bhartiya Janata Party) is expected to meet today evening to re-elect Prime Minister Narendra Modi as their leader for another term. After that, the NDA will approach the President Kovind to stake claim to form next government.

The MPs (Member of Parliaments) are likely to meet in the Central Hall of Parliament at 5 PM today.
