Bomb explosion in French city of Lyon — Terror angle feared



PARIS:  At least 13 people were wounded in parcel bomb explosion on Friday’s early evening (French Time) in city of Lyon. The blast took place in city’s central shopping area.

A national investigation has started to look into an angle of possible terrorism. As per the report of the French television channel BFMTV, 12 adults and an 8-year-old child were immediately rushed to three different hospitals in Lyon.

French Justice Minister Nicole Belloubet announced hours after the explosion, ‘An investigation into terrorist conspiracy has been opened.’
